Y-Connect takes advantage of new technologies and frees the YMCA Staff from the confines of the information desk. The information desk is a barrier to personal interaction . They can get out from behind the desk , so they can greet members at the door, more freely interact with people and the facility. The former information desk area becomes a community seating area. The Y-Connect information wall allows staff to display program options and instructional videos to members as well as allowing patrons to sign up for programs independently.
